Product Detail: |
The MaxSignal No-Mel Milk Total Protein Assay Kit is a colorimetric assay for the determination of protein in milk, powdered milk, cream, ice cream and chocolate drink.
MaxSignal No-Mel Milk Total Protein Assay Kit uses a dye-binding assay to determine protein in milk and other dairy products. The kit enables international and government regulatory agencies, food manufacturers and processors, as well as quality assurance organizations, to determine protein levels in dairy products in response to customer concerns about food safety. The test is based on a proven AOAC-approved method for milk protein determination. The MaxSignal No-Mel Milk Total Protein Assay Kit contains sufficient materials to test 42 dairy samples.
The assay detects the specific binding of milk proteins to dye molecules. This detection is fundamentally different than that of some other protein determination methods (such as the Kjeldahl method) which detect protein via nitrogen and are vulnerable to contamination of amine containing impurities such as melamine. The MaxSignal No-Mel Milk Total Protein Assay Kit provides accurate, proven results even in the presence of high levels of melamine.
The kit contains all reagents, including standards and buffers, required to perform the test. Materials and chemicals necessary for extraction of clenbuterol from sample material are not included in the test-kit. Procedures for extraction of clenbuterol from the samples are described in detail in the manual.
BENEFITS:- Rapid and simple method (modified version of AOAC method) less than 10 minutes Minimal sample prep Highly accurate and reproducible Not influenced by the presence of melamine in samples (< 2 mg/mL in milk) |

Product Detail: |
The MaxSignal Melamine ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of melamine in milk, milk powder, infant formula, meat, fish, feed, chocolate and other food/dairy samples. Melamine is a chemical used in a variety of industrial processes and can be found in food contact surfaces in processing plants, can coatings and dishware and other kitchenware. Sometimes it is also used illegally to increase the apparent protein content in food samples such as milk. Trace amounts of melamine can contaminate food by contact without causing health problems but it is toxic at high levels. In 2010, WHO has set the first global limits on permitted melamine levels in food. The 130 members of the Codex Alimentarius Commission set the threshold for melamine in food at 2.5mg/kg (2.5 ppm) and the permitted level for infant formula milk was set at 1mg/kg (1 ppm). BENEFITS:- High recovery rate (>80%) Rapid (10 - 40 minutes) and cost-effective extraction methods Sample prep protocols that work with chocolate Robust sample prep protocols for feed samples High sensitivity (5 ng/g or ppb) and low detection limit for liquid milk (0.2 ppm) A quick ELISA assay (less than 2 hours regardless of number of samples) High reproducibility

AuroFlow Aflatoxin M1 Strip Test |
Bioo Scientific |

|
|
Product Detail: |
The AuroFlow Aflatoxin M1 Strip Test Kit is a qualitative and rapid lateral flow assay designed to detect Aflatoxin M1 residues in raw commingled cows milk at 0.5 ppb. This immunochromatographic assay eliminates the need for a heating block. This test is designed for field use or reference lab settings.
The assay uses a competitive colloidal gold based format. The milk sample (200 ?L) is added to a clear plastic reaction vessel, and used to resuspend the lyophilized reagents to a uniform pink color in the bottom of the microtiter wells. The milk is incubated (5 min) at room temperature to allow the antibodies on the gold particles to engage with any Aflatoxin M1 present in the milk. The test strip is then inserted into the sample well with the arrows pointing downward initiating capillary flow up the strip (5 min). Any gold particles that are not complexed with Aflatoxin M1 present in the milk will bind to the Aflatoxin M1 imprinted at the Test line (T-line), forming a signal (red line) at that position. If the antibody on the gold particle has engaged with antibiotic present in the milk sample, the gold particle will flow past the T-line and reach the Control line (C-line). For visual interpretation of the test results, T-line signal intensity that is stronger than the signal at the C-line indicates a negative result. Signal at the T-line which is equal or less intense compared to the C-line indicates the presence of 0.5 ppb or greater of Aflatoxin M1 in the milk. The greater the reduction in signal intensity at the T-line, the greater the concentration of Aflatoxin M1 present in the milk.
Aflatoxin M1 is the hydroxylated metabolite of Aflatoxin B1. Aflatoxins are believed to be the most carcinogenic naturally occurring substances. In 1987, the WHO classified the aflatoxins as Group 1 carcinogens. Aflatoxins are potent liver carcinogens and DNA-damaging agents from natural source. Aflatoxin M1 is known to be oxidized by the mixed function oxygenases of the liver P-450 system. This oxidation results in a reactive 8,9-epoxide as the major product, which seems to preferentially attack certain guanine residues in double stranded DNA. Aflatoxicosis is poisoning that results from ingestion of aflatoxins in contaminated food or feed. The LD50 of Aflatoxin M1 is 0.3 mg/kg (oral, duckling).
This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008. ISO CI#: SARA-2009-CA-0114-01-B.
[BENEFITS] : - Rapid strip test method 10 minutes Works in cold milk No sample preparation High affinity antibody method that requires no heating step High sensitivity High reproducibility |

MaxSignal Histamine ELISA Test Kit |

|
|
Product Detail: |
The MaxSignal® Histamine ELISA Test Kit, a colorimetric ELISA assay for the determination of histamine in fresh or frozen fish and fish meal, is the most sensitive and rapid ELISA commercially available. The plate wells are coated with anti-histamine antibody. During analysis, sample is added along with the histamine-horseradish peroxidase (Histamine-HRP) conjugate. If histamine residue is present in the sample, it will compete for the Histamine antibody, thereby preventing the histamine-HRP from binding to the antibody attached to the well. The resulting color intensity, after addition of the HRP substrate (TMB), has an inverse relationship with the concentration of histamine in the sample.
Wide Detection Range: With detection over a wide range of histamine concentrations (3 270 ppm for fish samples), the MaxSignal Histamine ELISA Test Kit delivers highly reproducible, accurate, cost-effective and easy histamine analysis.
Optimized Sample Prep Protocols: This ELISA uses a rapid (15 minute) aqueous extraction method which does not require heating or organic extraction steps. Unlike other histamine ELISAs, the MaxSignal Histamine ELISA does not require time-consuming and laborious acylation steps.
Histamine is a naturally occurring contaminant found in scombroid fish such as tuna, mahi mahi, swordfish and mackerel that have been improperly handled. High levels of histamine in seafood can cause scombroid poisoning. Quality fish has histamine levels below 50 ppm. The amount of histamine can be determined using HPLC or LC-MS. However, these traditional methods require expensive instrumentation and time-consuming sample preparation procedures that can be eliminated by ELISA methodology.
[BENEFITS] Low-cost, rapid sample prep protocol offers high histamine recovery rates >90% High sensitivity - Detect as little as 3 ppm of histamine in fresh or frozen fish samples and 30 ppm in fish meal No chemical derivatization (acylation) steps required Rapid assay protocol - Less than 45 minutes required to process 42 samples in duplicate High reproducibility with interplate and intraplate CV typically <10% No heating steps or organic solvents are required
This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008. ISO CI#: SARA-2009-CA-0114-A
