Product Detail: Anti-DAXX Antibody
Background Info: Death-domain-associated protein (DAXX) is a transcription regulator, that interacts with proteins involved in transcriptional silencing, such as histone deacetylases (HDAC1 and HDAC2) and DNA methyltransferase DNMT1. It represses the activity of several transcriptional factors, including C/EBP beta, c-Met, Pax3, Ets1, p53, p73, p63, glucocorticoid receptor, androgen receptor, and SMAD4.

DAXX is a nuclear protein associated with the promyelocytic leukaemia nuclear body (PML-NB) and other subnuclear domains. It can be either a pro-apoptotic or an anti-apoptotic factor, depending on the cell type and context. Daxx is thought to play a role in the pathology of human diseases including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
