Alpha-Synuclein Research

Biosensis Alpha-Synuclein Antibodies

Biosensis offers several antibodies to alpha-synuclein producedin different hosts that have been well validated for multiple applications.

Chicken: C-1795-50, Sheep (116-131): S-075-50 and

Rabbit (129-140): R-075-100, Rabbit (pan synculein): R-060-100).

StressMarq Alpha-Synuclein Active Recombinant Proteins and Antibodies

StressMarq offers active alpha synuclein protein fibrils that can induce endogenous alpha synuclein phosphorylation and subsequent Lewy body inclusion formation in neuronal cell culture.

The active alpha-synuclein preformed fibrils (PFFs) (Hu: SPR-322, Ms: SPR-324) seed the formation of new fibrils from active monomers (Hu: SPR-321, Ms: SPR-323). They have been tested in cell culture assays and thioflavin T assays as well as in vivo, with both active human and mouse PFFs producing alpha synuclein pathology in rat brains within 30 days of injection.

StressMarq also provides several monoclonal antibodies to alpha synuclein (SMC-530, SMC-531, SMC-532, SMC-533) and two polyclonal antibodies to alpha-synuclein phosphorylated at the Ser129 (SPC-742) and the Tyr136 (SPC-1435) sites. Below: Alpha synuclein SMC-532 SK-N-BE cells.

Agrisera Oligomer Specific Alpha-Synuclein Antibodies

Using a novel technique based on a combination of cryptic epitope and avidity to produce oligomer specific monoclonal antibodies[1], Agrisera offers two antibodies to the alpha-synuclein peptide, AsyO2 (AS13 2717) and ASyO5 (AS13 2718) that do no cross react with alpha-synuclein fibrils. Both antibodies have been developed in mouse and are of IgG isotype.
