| MaxSignal Dairy Product Pasteurization Verification Kit |
Bioo Scientific |
1041-01 |
30 samples |
Call for Pricing |
|
| Product Detail: | The MaxSignal Dairy Product Pasteurization Verification Kit is a colorimetric assay for the confirmation of pasteurization of milk, cheese and other dairy products. Milk and other dairy products provide an important source of protein, calcium and other nutrients to many people worldwide. However, raw (unpasteurized) dairy products sometimes contain bacteria and other pathogens which can sicken people. Pasteurization efficiently destroys pathogens in dairy products which make them safe to consume. Milk contains readily detectable levels of an enzyme called alkaline phosphatase. The inactivation of milk alkaline phosphatase occurs at a higher temperature threshold than the threshold for pasteurization. Therefore observation of loss of alkaline phosphatase activity in heat-treated milk samples indicates that pasteurization has occurred. As such, inactivation of milk alkaline phosphatase is the now the universally accepted indicator for successful pasteurization of dairy products.
BENEFITS:-
>>> Rapid and simple method
>>> Minimal sample prep
>>> Highly accurate and reproducible

| MaxSignal Beta-Lactam ELISA Test Kit |
Bioo Scientific |
1065-01 |
1 x 96 wells |
Call for Pricing |
|
| Product Detail: | The MaxSignal Beta-Lactam ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of a broad range of beta-lactam antibiotics including ampicillin, penicillin G, amoxicillin, cloxacillin, oxacillin and cephalosporins (i.e. cefoperazone, ceftiofur, etc) in milk/dairy products, meat, tissue, fish, urine and plasma samples.
Beta-lactam antibiotics are among the most widely used antibiotics for the treatment of bacterial infections in man and animals. Beta-lactams are also administered to animals in feed for growth promotion and for prophylactic treatment. The monitoring of beta-lactam residues in edible tissues and milk is important because of the hypersensitivity of some individuals to these antibiotics and also the emergence of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria. For this reason, maximum residue limits have been specified for food products and milk to try and control the levels of these antibiotics reaching the consumer. With a detection limit of 0.4 ppb for most sample types, the MaxSignal Beta-Lactam ELISA Test Kit allows for the accurate detection of beta-lactams at or below these maximum residue limits.
BENEFITS:-
>>> High sensitivity: Detects 0.4 ppb of beta-lactams in milk, meat, tissue, fish, urine and plasma
>>> Detects a broad spectrum of beta-lactam antibiotics including cephalosporins
>>> High recovery (>80%), low-cost rapid sample prep protocol (10 minutes - 1 hour)
>>> Rapid assay protocol (less than 2 hours to process 40 samples in duplicate)
>>> High reproducibility (interplate and intraplate CV typically <8%)

The AuroFlow Beta-lactam Strip test has the capacity for 96 (Cat # 1067-01) or 192 (Cat # 1067-02) determinations. The shelf life is 12 months when the kit is properly stored.
The positive and negative control vials contain lyophilized raw milk samples, and must be reconstituted with 1 mL of distilled water before use. The reconstituted raw milk controls are stable for 1 week at 4°C. Additional positive and negative control vials are available separately (Cat No 106710).
[FEATURES:]
>>> Rapid strip test method 7 minutes.
>>> High sensitivity
>>> Novel binding protein that requires no heating step

| Applications: | Please use our contact form above to request a copy of the datasheet and pricing |
| Additional Info: | The assay uses a competitive colloidal gold based format. The milk sample (200 uL) is added to a clear plastic reaction vessel/microtiter well, and used to resuspend the dried reagents contained in the well to make a uniform pink color. The milk is then incubated briefly (3 min) to allow the beta-lactam binding protein on the gold particles to engage with any beta-lactam antibiotic present in the milk. The test strip is then inserted into the sample well with the arrows pointing downward initiating capillary flow up the strip. Any gold particles that are not complexed with antibiotics present in the milk will bind to the beta-lactam antibiotic imprinted at the Test line (T-line), forming a signal (red line) at that position. If the beta-lactam binding protein on the gold particle has engaged with antibiotic present in the milk sample, the gold particle will flow past the T-line and reach the Control line (C-line). For visual interpretation of the test results, if the T-line signal intensity is stronger than the signal intensity of the C-line, this indicates a negative result. Signal at the T-line which is equal or less intense compared to the C-line indicated the presence of beta-lactam antibiotics in the milk. The greater the reduction in signal intensity at the T-line, the greater the concentration of beta-lactam antibiotics present in the milk. |

|
| Product Detail: | The MaxSignal Melamine ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of melamine in milk, milk powder, infant formula, meat, fish, feed, chocolate and other food/dairy samples. Melamine is a chemical used in a variety of industrial processes and can be found in food contact surfaces in processing plants, can coatings and dishware and other kitchenware. Sometimes it is also used illegally to increase the apparent protein content in food samples such as milk. Trace amounts of melamine can contaminate food by contact without causing health problems but it is toxic at high levels. In 2010, WHO has set the first global limits on permitted melamine levels in food. The 130 members of the Codex Alimentarius Commission set the threshold for melamine in food at 2.5mg/kg (2.5 ppm) and the permitted level for infant formula milk was set at 1mg/kg (1 ppm). BENEFITS:-
>>> High recovery rate (>80%)
>>> Rapid (10 - 40 minutes) and cost-effective extraction methods
>>> Sample prep protocols that work with chocolate
>>> Robust sample prep protocols for feed samples
>>> High sensitivity (5 ng/g or ppb) and low detection limit for liquid milk (0.2 ppm)
>>> A quick ELISA assay (less than 2 hours regardless of number of samples)
>>> High reproducibility
