| Product Detail: | MaxSignal Tylosin ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of tylosin in honey, meat/liver/kidney, milk and urine. Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic widely used in animal breedings, available for oral and injectable use. In case withdrawal time is not respected, meat and milk can be contaminated with tylosin residues. High levels of tylosin residue can also be due to poor clearance of the drug occurring in cases of liver or kidney dysfunction or excessive dosing. Tylosin can also be used as a growth promoter; EU banned legislation banned this practice since 1999 (council regulation n. 2821/98) but in the USA and many other countries tylosin is used as a feed additive.
