FIREPol® is a thermostable DNA polymerase with a difference!
Due to genetic modification FIREPol has greatly enhanced stability at room temperature and can effectively be left on the bench for up to a month.
This means there is no need to keep topping up the ice bath whilst setting up your reactions... in fact there is no need to have an ice bath at all!
And at times when you are rushing around setting up your reactions for a run the next morning and you accidentally forget to put the taq back in the freezer (we've all done it!).. that's fine. You can just come in the next day and use it as normal. No need to worry about loss of activity in your reactions, no need to worry about messing up your colleagues work and no need to worry about wasting taq.
Plus FIREPol shows no loss of activity after repeated freeze thaws, so there is no need to worry if you have to set up several sets of reactions in a day.
