MaxSignal® Clonidine ELISA Test Kit

The MaxSignal® Clonidine ELISA Test Kit is the only commercially available ELISA for the rapid screening of clonidine in fish, shrimp, meat, feed and urine samples. As a Beta agonist, clonidine can be to increase muscle growth and appetite in livestock. Although steroids result in a higher meat/fat ratio, there is the risk that residues will be left in meat products and which may be harmful when consumed. The use of clonidine in food production is forbidden in many countries.

MaxSignal® Erythromycin ELISA Test Kit

The MaxSignal® Erythromycin ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of erythromycin in meat, fish and shrimp samples. It contains a unique sample prep protocol that offers high recovery rates and sensitive detection limits down to 2.5 ppb.

AuroFlow™ Test Strips are lateral flow tests for the detection of antibiotics in Milk. Two different AuroFlow™ Test Strips are currently available as below:

AuroFlow™ Beta-Lactam Test Strips for the detection of a broad range of beta-lactam antibiotics including ampicillin, penicillin G, amoxicillin, cloxacillin, oxacillin and cephalosporins (i.e. cefoperazone, ceftiofur, etc).

AuroFlow™ BT Combo Test Strips for the detection of both beta-lactam AND tetracycline antibiotic residues

These state-of-the-art tests use a tetracycline receptor and a novel beta-lactam binding protein eliminating the need for a heating block and because they do not require any equipment, they are ideal for use in the field or at a farm. Also they have a very simple and rapid protocol (shown on the right) that provides results in under 10 minutes.

Simple Interpretation of Results:

Each test strip is imprinted with either one or two test lines and one Control line (C-line). One test line allows for the detection of beta-lactam antibiotics and in the case of the BT Combo Strip the other test line allows for the detection of tetracyclines.

When the signal at the test lines are more intense than the signal at the C-line, the milk sample is negative for presence of the relevant antibiotics. A signal at the either test line which is equal to or less intense than the signal at the C-line indicates the presence of antibiotics in the milk sample.
