Heat shock proteins (HSP) are a class of proteins whose expression is increased when cells are exposed to stress, such as elevated temperatures.
HSPs are found in all living organisms, from bacteria to plants to humans and the transcriptional upregulation of heat shock proteins is a key part of the heat shock response which is induced primarily by heat shock factor (HSF).
Newmarket Scientifiic provides a range of antibodies to heat shock proteins and other related proteins in the same research area.
